Norwich-based fabricator Genius PVC Trade Frames has announced the full operational launch of its latest cutting-edge machinery, marking a key milestone in a £3.2 million investment over recent years. This significant upgrade boosts production capacity and positions the company for future growth.

At the heart of this investment is the new BAZ Tandem Schirmer cutting centre, affectionately named ‘The Schirmernator’ by the Genius team. The new addition complements the original Schirmer, known as ‘Robochop,’ reflecting the company’s commitment to innovative technology and a positive workplace culture.

Lee Dickinson, Operations Director at Genius, who is behind the machines’ creative nicknames, said: “These machines aren’t just tools for us—they’re part of the team. Giving them names adds a bit of fun to our daily operations and keeps the energy high.”

In addition to ‘The Schirmernator,’ Genius has installed a ROTOX Horizontal 8 Head Welding and Cleaning Line, further enhancing their production capabilities. This investment in state-of-the-art machinery from Winmac comes as Genius expands its product range to include Deceuninck systems, alongside their established Kömmerling offerings.

Kevin Noray, Sales Director of Winmac, praised Genius’s forward-thinking approach: “It’s always exciting to work with companies like Genius who understand the importance of investing in top-tier machinery. Their commitment to quality and efficiency is evident in their choice of equipment, and we are proud to support their continued growth.”

Thomas Weston, Managing Director of Genius, commented: “This investment in both machinery and expanded factory space isn’t just about increasing capacity; it’s about future-proofing our business. With Deceuninck added to our portfolio, we required the space and technology to meet growing demand while maintaining the quality our customers expect.”

The new machinery and expanded facility enable Genius to maintain its commitment to quick turnaround times and high-quality products as the company continues to expand its range and customer base.

Founded in 2019, Genius PVC Trade Frames has quickly established itself as an ambitious player in the fenestration industry. This latest investment further underscores the company’s commitment to growth and innovation, setting the stage for the next phase of its success.
